Police Cadet Open Evening for 13 to 18 Years

Gwent Volunteer Police Cadets are holding an open meeting at Police Headquarters, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran NP44 2XJ on Monday 18th April 2016 at 6pm.

We are currently looking at recruiting young people aged 13 to 18 yrs for the role of Volunteer Police Cadet. If you are interested in finding out more please indicate that you are interested in attending by responding to cadets@gwent.pnn.police.uk and attending on Monday.

Really disappointed with the neglect and deterioration of Pontlottyn. I'm all for preserving nature but when the overhanging trees and dangerous wall opposite Waterloo Terrace force you onto a dangerous road, it's rediculous. The weeds are taking over between the bottom of Edmund st right across to Greenfield St. That's just 1 tiny section. I'd love to know why North of Newtredegar is ignored and neglected . Throughout June we’ve been posting about the dangers and consequences of drink/drug driving.

Last Saturday, our officers in Blackwood responded to reports of a possible drink driver in the area. It didn’t take long to find the car, which was being driven around with a flat tyre.

Officers stopped the driver and he was arrested when he failed a breath test BUT WAIT FOR IT……. He was just 17 years old and only passed his driving test a few months before! He even had a can of lager with him! #unbelievable #yourenicked
